Directions/Ideas

  1. Place items in box

  2. Stimulate conversation for every piece that goes into the box

  3. Have you or your care-receiver briefly write about each item in the box

  4. Ideas can go further beyond pieces or paper or photos

  5. Trinkets from past significant events are ideal

  6. If an item is too large, take a picture of the item to then put it in the box

  7. You and your care-receiver could make themed boxes. For example, birthday boxes holding memories from a specific birthday or a decade themed box holding memories from their 30’s

  8. Caregivers and loved ones can decorate the box however they’d like

  9. Take a video of the experience! This may be a memory in itself that can transcend the years.
